Inland Container Depot - Delhi, Eventhough ICD operation took time to establish and now it stands as one comparison to any major sea port in India. ICD has made the exporter and importer to take advantage of various facilities it offered, handling, custom examination, cargo stuffing, sealing etc before their presence and thereby avoiding any pilferage, cargo short landings etc.
ICD network indian Government has ensured that the ICD deport are set where major export and export belts and ensure that container can be brought to the door steps. Customs were authorised to do the apprisals at ICD and some excisable cargoes same officers are authorised to appraise and seal the container.
